Welcome to OpenX32

The Linux-based OpenSource Operating System for the Behringer X32

The OpenX32 Project is an open-source firmware for all devices of the Behringer X32-series as well as the Midas M32-series.

Its goal is to allow new fields of applications that may not be covered by the original firmware, but it is not intended to be a 1:1 replacement.

First and foremost, the main-goal of the project is to understand how digital audio systems work and create something new using a well established hardware-basis like the X32.

Since a couple of weeks OpenX32 can be booted directly from any USB-thumbdrive. Linux is booting and our control-program is started after a couple of seconds.

Up to now there are no speed-optimizations, but the system is quite snappy.
